IHHT/IHT training with the hypoxbreath® is based on a technological imitation of altitude training. In the process, both the state of hypoxia and the state of hyperoxia/normoxia are made available to the user at predefined intervals under normal air pressure conditions. In simple terms, the user receives air to breathe with less oxygen (hypoxia) and air to breathe with increased oxygen compared to normal ambient or breathing air in phases during a training session.
Altitude training but relaxed while sitting down
Unlike altitude training, this training is carried out in completely relaxed fashion while you are seated or lying down, with your upper body elevated by 30 degrees. The duration of a training session depends on the personal physical conditions and the individual goals of the person exercising.

Multi-level phase control with the hypoxbreath® advanced
While in commercially available IHHT/IHT systems the only variables that can be preset are SPO2 target value = cut-off value, oxygen concentration, phase length and phase repetition, the hypoxbreath® advanced offers completely new possibilities for individual training.
Via multi-level phase control, it is possible to individually adjust hyperoxia (IHHT), normoxia (IHT), hyperoxia + normoxia (IHHNT/IHNT), adaptive hyperoxia and intelligent hyperoxia (IHM) for each training interval.
Advantage: This makes it possible to take into account the physical constitution and associated individual training responses of the patient/user.

Intelligent hyperoxia mode (IHM)
Our biofeedback-based intelligent hyperoxia mode makes interval hypoxia training more effective than ever before, as physiologically relevant threshold values, such as a user’s SPO2 start value, are taken into account, and the training programme adapts the hyperoxia phase fully automatically. This way, use of the training stimulus is maximised while the physiological load is, maximally reduced at the same time.
Another advantage: Interval hypoxia-hyperoxia training thus also becomes accessible to those target groups who are not eligible for the normal IHHT/IHT/smart hyperoxia training methods, or only eligible to a limited extent, due to physiological indicators.

Heart rate variability (HRV) changes long before physical symptoms occur. With our integrated HRV monitoring in the hypoxbreath®, you have another diagnostic tool to hand, to be able to use not only subjective factors but also a real physiological assessment of the patient/client’s physical condition in your treatment. In addition to the classic RMSSD value, our monitoring also provides the StressIndex for quick and easy assessment of HRV, as well as other parameters for experienced HRV specialists. This gives you the opportunity to respond individually and on a daily basis to the real physiological needs of the patient/client.
