IHHT/ IHT training with the hypoxbreath® is based on a technical imitation of altitude training. The user is given access to both the hypoxia and hyperoxia/normoxia states at predefined intervals under normal air pressure conditions. In simple terms, during a training session the user receives breathing air with less oxygen (hypoxia) and breathing air with increased oxygen compared to normal ambient or breathing air in phases.


Relaxed altitude training in a seated position

Unlike altitude training, this training is carried out in a completely relaxed position, either sitting or lying down with the upper body elevated by 30 degrees. The duration of a training session depends on the personal physical condition and individual goals of the person training.

Multi-level phase control with the hypoxbreath® advanced

Whereas with conventional IHHT/IHT systems only the variables SPO2 target value = cut-off value, oxygen concentration, phase length and phase repetition can be preset, the hypoxbreath® advanced offers completely new possibilities for individual training.

Hyperoxia (IHHT), normoxia (IHT), hyperoxia + normoxia (IHHNT/IHNT), adaptive hyperoxia and intelligent hyperoxia (IHM) can be set individually for each training interval using the multi-level phase control.

Advantage: This allows the physical constitution and the associated individual training reactions of the patient/user to be taken into account.

Intelligent Hyperoxia Mode (IHM)

Our biofeedback-based intelligent hyperoxia mode makes interval hypoxia training more effective than ever, as physiologically relevant threshold values such as the user’s SPO2 starting value are taken into account and the training program adjusts the hyperoxia phase fully automatically. In this way, the training stimulus is used to the maximum, while the physiological load is reduced to the maximum.

A further advantage is that interval hypoxia-hyperoxia training is thus also accessible to those target groups who, due to physiological indicators, are not or only to a limited extent suitable for the normal IHHT/ IHT/smart hyperoxia training methods.

Heart rate variability (HRV for short) changes long before physical symptoms appear. With our integrated HRV monitoring in the hypoxbreath®, you have a further diagnostic tool at your fingertips so that you can use not only a subjective but also a real physiological assessment of your physical condition during your treatment. In addition to the classic RMSSD value, our monitoring also provides the stress index for quick and easy assessment of HRV as well as other parameters for experienced HRV specialists.
